Some women, both younger and older, experienced itching in and around the genitalia. The causes of itching in the genital tract in many ways:
- Infections by fungal infection with candida, as Trichomonas parasite infection and viral infection as herpes genitialis.
- A number of skin disorders can settle on the external genitalia, so as Lichen planus, eczema and psoriasis, but rarely isolated in the genital tract.
- Fladlus and scabies.
- Benign tumors and cancers of the external genitalia.
- Transition Age can give itching, and in young girls may be a natural phenomenon.
The treatment is based on the underlying disease.
